What is Polymath Chick?

Your first thought when arriving to my site was probably “what the heck is a polymath?” or maybe “how is this website going to benefit my life at all?”

To answer the first question, a polymath is basically someone who loves to learn and hasn’t settled down into one single subject. I felt that the name Polymath Chick was very fitting for someone like myself. My mind is way open to the realm of knowledge as well as experiences. Whether I’m reading a new book (my taste in literature varies, from classics to romance or suspense), trying a new recipe (fat filled or fat free), working on some new crafts (the list is never ending for my interest in that field), or just simply writing about a subject matter that I feel strongly about or wanted to learn more about.
This website will be beneficial to anyone who just needs something to occupy their mind in some free time or wants to learn something new. There is no limit on knowledge. Our brains don’t run out of storage space like your cellphone or laptop might. My favorite question to ask is “why?”. Anyone who knows me well knows I apologies for the amount of questions that I am capable of asking.

Follow along with me as I stumble though life, sometimes more gracefully than others.

How to Cope When a Loved One Has an Invisible Disease

Not every ailment is as obvious as an amputated limb or a skin affliction. Or as well known as cancer or Diabetes. Diseases such as epilepsy or ulcerative colitis (and so many other diseases) can be considered to be invisible diseases. Having had an invisible disease for most of my younger years, as well as dating someone for over six years who deals with their own invisible disease daily, has taught me a lot about how it feels from both perspectives.
